Scientist stops bullets in mid-air

Imagine being shot at, how great would it be to be able to stop the chasing bullets? Pretty damn awesome, wouldn’t it? Well US researchers at the University of Texas at Austin have built a so-called coilgun that works in reverse, stopping atom- and molecule-sized bullets in flight. Of course, be it the size that is a disadvantage. But imagine, later on being able to stop .50 caliber bullets, the possibilities!

Hopefully the develop on it and make the streets of the world A LOT safer with this technology!
